So, how does this work?

1

Free 15 minute phone consult. OPTIONAL

I will ask what your main concerns are and tell you what we might do to address those concerns in general terms. We won't go in depth on anything here. It's for both of us to get a feel for how we might work together. Other frequent questions might include clarifying cost, payment, location, and hours.

2

Booking an initial appointment

When you book an initial appointment on the Jane App you can pick a time from my schedule that works for you. Jane will send you an intake document to fill out and provide the consent form to review.

3

Initial Appointment

It's normal to feel nervous for a first therapy appointment whether therapy is new to you or not. We will start by going over that consent form you looked at again. Then we go over the intake form to get a sense of your health history. I'll have questions and curiosities that we will pace however feels best for you.

4

Follow up Appointments

Throughout follow up appointments we continue to expand understanding of what you are enduring, focus on the symptoms that are interfering with your life, and build strategies to practice outside of appointments. The number of follow up sessions vary but you will never be left wondering what we are working towards or how we expect progress to look and feel.

5

Wrapping Up

Your health, your time, and your money are valuable. When you feel relief, more confident, and empowered to manage your concerns lets wrap up! You can always circle back later if you need.

6

What about virtual?

Virtual appointments are held on the Jane platform. Instructions on how to log on will be sent when you book. The meat and potatoes of the appointments are the same. We ask you be in a quiet, private space and refrain from driving during your appointment time. I also start each appointment asking where exactly you are in case of an emergency. Otherwise, grab a coffee, your comfy socks, and lets chat.

Not a fit?

That's okay! As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse it is my duty to help connect you with the right service if my service isn't quite what you are looking for or clinically serving your needs best. I'll never take this personal.
